Trim the enoki root end, wash and separate the clusters. Cut into pieces no longer than 5 cm.

Put in a saucepan with water reaching about 1.1 times the height of the mushrooms. Bring to a full boil and cook initially for 3 minutes, continuing as necessary until the mushrooms are cooked through.

Add salt and MSG gradually to taste, not automatically all the listed source maxima. Boil for another 30 seconds and serve hot.
