Method
5 clear steps
- 1
Ordinary method: pour 280 ml cold milk into a breakfast cup.
- 2
Bring 200 ml water to a boil (drinking water can go straight in), add the 40 g oats, and cook 2 minutes after the water boils.
- 3
Lift the oats into the milk, leaving the cooking water behind so the taste is not spoiled.
- 4
Quick method: use quick-cooking oats, stir them into the 280 ml milk in a microwave-safe container (not a glass cup, and no more than half full), and microwave on medium for 4 minutes.
- 5
Heat a thin layer of oil in a pan and fry the egg 20 seconds on each side, with 3 g salt and pepper if you like. Fry longer for a fully set yolk. Turn off the heat and serve with the oats.
